The Carnegie medal is sort of like the Booker Prize of children's books.
The type of books that usually win are stories about one legged disabled children with polio growing up in the Irish potato famine.
I can't see me winning but it's always nice to get nominated

It's probably 100-1 that you win, but at least you were nominated unlike alot of other authors who I won't mention. Good luck though. You've more chance of winning than "The Enemy" by Higson (probably because he isn't nominated)
