This is awsome.
I got a call from Nial this morning; someone had told him about this thread. I chatted with him for a while and he told me I could give you the basic information (apparently im not supposed to give you my ident and area (my bad)).

Basically SPP stands for Secondary [school] Pupil Protection

All we do is "monitor" the the playground during breaks and out of school hours (we are advised against this).
We have one to two "members" for every three schools in England and Wales (not the UK. ;D)
If trouble arises (bullying etc.), we don't "snitch", but signal to the teachers to move in. If it is something small like name calling, we can sort it ourselfs.
In my school alone, my colleague and I have reduced bullying by 80% (there isn't much of that in my school :) ).

Questions are avaliable, but for privacy reasons, there is a limit to how far I go.

So the SPP monitor the playground, looking for people who have been bullied, and make it alllll better.

We do monitor the playground. If something starts, like a year 10 picking on a year 7, well be there sticking up for the little kid. If things get rough, we grab hold of a teacher and make them walk by, then when they are caught, it looks more like a coincidence that a teacher just so happened to be walking by.

"Privacy reasons"...
What privacy reasons? What possible reasons could you need for not telling us about this..?

And who the f**k condones this? You seem to imply that you fight bullying by beating up bullies. That's completely immoral. Bloody Josh and fake quotes >_>

Why's this special? It's just organised snitch, which isn't particularly special :-/

We do not fight bullies. We only stand up against them when they are picking on them (name calling). If it is anything nastier than that, we do not get involved and "tip off" to the nearest teacher.
Privacy reasons? This is the internet sir.

So? What difference does it make? Seriously, you're treating this as if it's much more important than it really is. You don't need to be in a special organisation to tell teachers against problems - you should do it anyway.

STOP IN THE NAME OF INVESTIGATIVE JOURNALISM!

I'm Chris Hansen with NBC dateline and we're doing a story on stupid pricks who seem to want everyone to believe they're in some sort of secret society that rights wrongs and rules the world in a playground context.

IS there anything you want to say before we finish this interview? If not, then you're free to walk out the door you came in.

We've set your bail at $30,000, and advise the next time you want to do something like this, you make it funny. That said, your miserable failure will provide much entertainment for all.
